Adjustable harness lines
The strength of having a large variation in length is that you can adjust to different courses and wind strengths.

The following companies have harness lines suitable for race- and hybridboards: Chinhook, Dakine, Advance Technology and Tunafish. If you want to see the different options you have, click here

You can create them your self if you're a little clever with your hands and have the ability to find the necessary parts. Finding the right tube can be a bit of a challenge. Parts you can use are Clamcleats, 4.5 mm Profile line or 4 mm Trim Grip from Poly-ropes, 25 mm polyester webbing.

Adjustable downhaul
Adjustable downhaul allows you to adjust your downhaul while sailing, making it a lot easyer to tune your sail. Neil Pryde produce a good version of a adjustable downhaul.

You can make an excellent adjustable downhaul with following Harken products; one Harken Fiddle V-jam (HK244), one singel 29 mm carbo airblock(HK348) and one 22 mm classic block (HK233). Recommended rope is 4 mm. Poly Ropes "Trim Grip", 3 mm Poly Ropes "Dynex-75" and 3,8 mm Marlow "Formula Line Rope". This solution is not the cheapest but it lasts.

A other option is to use RWO 25 mm / High Performance blocks R1260 and R1262 and the Harken V-jammer (HK244). The RWO blocks have a lower profile and are very strong. A god option for big high tension sails.

Raceboard seat harness
The typical harness for raceboard windsurfing, is characterized by having a very low hook position. This helps you to take the weight of your feet / board and put the pressure down through the mast foot. This helps the board to rail up in lower wind strengths. Some like the hook to sliding from side to side, this makes it possible to take a forward rotated position with the body.

Loft sails, Tunafish sportswear, Ion, Dakine and Boardwise are some of them how produce seat harness appropriate for raceboard windsurfing.
